What does DoView do?
DoView is new type of software - a visual outcomes processor - which you use to visualize your high-level outcomes, to show you the steps you need to achieve them, work out if you're on track and quickly communicate this to your funders and stakeholders.

DoView and outcomes models (program logic models)
The outcomes models which DoView helps you build are increasingly being used in a range of outcomes management areas (strategic planning, performance management, program evaluation, evidence-based practice and outcomes-focused contracting). Such diagrams are different from traditional 'flow-diagrams' and require specialist software such as DoView so that you can draw them quickly and work with them effectively in front of groups. Think of DoView as the world's first 'outcomes processor'. The models which DoView has been designed to draw are 'cause and effect' models which show the lower-level steps that are necessary to achieve higher-level outcomes. Names for these types of models include: logic models, program logics, intervention logics, ends-means diagrams, strategy maps, program theories, theories of change, results chains, fishbone diagrams, logframes, Ishikawa diagrams, and DoView Results Roadmaps.
Build professional models rather than just pretty diagrams
Many users have moved to DoView after trying to work with traditional drawing software or normal office software because the software they've been using is not specifically designed for building usable outcomes models. Analyzing real user-needs has determined the way we've designed DoView. DoView's simple command set and large icons allow you to confidently build and edit models in real-time when using a dataprojector in a team or stakeholder meeting. This puts the visualized outcomes model at the heart of all of your team and stakeholder deliberations. You can fully document all the links in your model even where you cannot fit line and arrow links drawn across a diagram.
When you build a DoView model using DoView's compact page format you can be assured it will work on screen, when dataprojected, on paper and as a web page version of the model (easily produced from within DoView).
